Why Does Aluminum Foil Paper Have Two Sides, One Shiny & One Dull?

Aluminum Foil Paper Have Two Sides

Aluminum foil paper is often used when we want to make grilled fish or the like.

For those who are observant, of course they will notice that this aluminum foil paper usually has two sides, one side is brighter and shiny while on the other side, the color is duller.

Like a puzzle, why does aluminum foil paper have two sides? There is a difference between the two, if you want to wrap grilled fish, which one is on the outside and which one is on the inside?

These questions must have arisen in the minds of some of us, right? If you want to ask someone else, you may not get an answer. So it's embarrassing if you have to be alone later, "Is that what you want to ask? Wear it anywhere.".

Actually, both parts are equally effective in heating your food. In other words, you can choose which part you prefer.

However, the main question is why aluminum paper has two different parts?

According to experts, the difference between these two sides is due to the manufacturing process called milling. During the process, heat and pressure are applied to the aluminum to stretch and form the foil.

Two foils have been pressed and milled together because otherwise they will tear.

On the part of the foil that is in contact with the other foil, that is the dull part

While on the shiny part, it is a foil surface that does not come into contact with other metal parts.

However, if you use non-stick foil, there is a difference between the two parts. This is because the anti-stick part is only placed on the dull part. This type of aluminum foil paper usually comes with a label on the non-stick side.

However, aluminum foil can affect your health if you use it frequently when cooking. You should reduce the frequency of using foil for better health.
